canopen can be readed through busmonitor???

hi,

i am using can open for the first time,i need to read encoder values...

the hardware which i have is pci series 2 can

was it possible to read the encoder value in MAX bus monitor....,once i tried to use bus monitor but i couldn't  able to retrieve any value...

i am using labview 7.1...

do anyone have any example to read in labview....

also what is  nod id???

Hi,

CANopen uses specific IDs called COB ID. You have to calculate the right COB ID using your node ID, which is the hardware ID configurable directly on your device with dip switches or something similar.

NI offers a CANopen Library for LabVIEW, which brings all the functions for congfiguration and communication withy CANopen nodes.
