how to match pattern with mask in VISA

Hi all,

I am using VISA VIs to match patterns. I want to have a masked template (pattern), when I want only to match a cutout of the template. I want that the fully black  parts are not involved in the matching, only the I want to search. Is it possible?

Sorry, I am not using VISA, but VISION match pattern. And I am searching a cutout...

have you try the Vision Demo VI "Pattern Matching example.VI"

In this example you have the possibility to make a freehand patternmatch.

Perhaps it can help you ?!
