The American Institute of Physics Society of Physics students has just opened registration for physicists for the next round of Adopt a Physicist. This program links up high school physics classes with physicists (hidden and otherwise) for lively discussion over message boards. I have participated in this program for five years and can highly recommend it. You will get a fresh look at what the youth of the world are thinking and an opportunity to convince them to pursue a STEM career. Click the link for details. Let me know if you have questions.

On average, how much time a week do you allocate for this activity?
Is it just on-line?

SpoilerBesides I have anoyed enough people here with my comments on world events. Maybe it is time that I find a new bacth.

The amount of time I spend depends on the group of students who have adopted me. The extemes are zero to an hour a day, usually averaging fifteen to twenty minutes per day. I usually do it first thing in the morning, but any time, any place will work.
It is just on-line.

I e-mailed this onto my Dad; he works at Fermilab and has a PhD in physics. I come to find out he's been doing this for the last 3 years Man, I'm out of the loop.
