Well, shoot, see what happens when I am not on the forums! Congratulations Mike, long time no see (hear, etc.) Drop me a line sometimes so that we can catch up. For those who don't know, Mike and I shared an apartment back around 1998, when we were both doing LabVIEW consulting at Corning Inc.'s Photonics division.  Learned a lot from him about LabVIEW, and about "interesting" music (he introduced me to klezmer for one thing). He has been a contributor to the LabVUEW community for a very long time, with postings on the info-labview forum from the early days.

I'll  write if you email me first, I don't have your address anymore - lost it in a system crash about a year ago. Gee and I was SURE I had everything backed up... Putnam is the guy from whom I learned about handheld GPS units. I will never forget walking into the men's room at Corning and seeing Putnam standing on a toilet, holding his GPS unit over his head and yelling, "Hey it can tell I moved!"

PS: Putnam - Last time we talked Mike Jr was thinking of attending Virginia Military Institute. This summer he spent 6 weeks studying in South America and when classes restart he's going to be a second classman at VMI - and is a Cadet Sargent to boot!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I got word just yesterday that due to "staff realignment" all consultants here will be gone by the end of the month - so I am currently in "search mode". Come to think of it there should be a resume of mine floating around DSA somewhere...

Excellent!  Good Luck Mike. Have known Ben for a few years, through the forums and NIWeek, you two are similar, both in LabVIEW and from my limited exposure to Ben, personality. I don't know if Ben's tastes in music are as eclectic as yours though!   Any chance that you are making it to NIWeek this year?
