A few years ago I took a part time job working at a stable.  ( insert stable income joke here )  

While mucking out stalls, myself and a long time stable hand were discussing lunch.  In particular the roast beef sandwich I planned on eating. 

When I mentioned the horseradish, she became immediately disgusted and told me I was a horrible person for even buying that stuff.  She then went on to state that she couldn't believe the stuff was even sold in stores and couldn't understand why anyone would eat.

Apparently she thought horseradish was made from horses.  I tried to explain that it was actually a root vegetable.  But she just didn't believe me.
