Incorrect checksum at LabView runtime download

Hi!  I could not find any forum particularly for this type of topics, so here comes:

I downloaded LabView Runtime 2016 for Windows, 64-bit. The package size is around 284 MiB, but the exact size or MD5 checksum of  the downloaded package, VRTE2016_f7Patch-64std.zip, don't match what the download page says.

- The page: https://www.ni.com/en/support/downloads/software-products/download.labview-runtime.html#

- Purported MD5 checksum: 7f419ab816460133bf775785f1e52366

- Purported size: 284.12 MB

  * The size I got with both of my two tries is 297729704, which translates to 283.93 MiB.

The true cause of such a discrepancy is almost certainly failure to update the checksum -- possibly when the "patch" part was added to the name.... But if downloaders make that assumption, the security effect of the checksum system is entirely voided 😕

So, if you know someone avenue to get this message to relevant NI staff so that they can check and update the page, please take action... Thanks!

I can conform that the listed MD5 checksums for the 2016 runtime are incorrect (32 and 64 bit). They are correct for e.g. the 2026 runtime. I have not tested others.

I left a site feedback pointing to this thread, so hopefully this will get fixed. (Either the checksum is wrong, the file is wrong, or both!)
