Hello all,

I'm back from S'pore. I had a really great time there after work in Little India, thanks to your informations about Indian culture. And of course I was eating a lot (gained weight, which is good as I am very thin) deliciouse indian food.

So here are my favorites I'd like to share:

* Papadam with some sauce made of green chillies, lemon, garlic (it was a north indian/nepali restaurant) as a snack to go with beer (it is very similar to mexican taco's with salsa).

* Paneer Tikka or Paneer Shashlik. It is very similar to the Schaschlik you get on the balkan but with cheese instead of meat (also north indian).

* Gulab Jamun (it was recommended by every indian I did ask, and it is fantastic; I will try to find it here in a shop, otherwise try to make my own)

Of course all other indian food was great too! I realized that they use a lot more spices than I get when it isn't authentic but cooked for western stomaches (at work the chinese could not eat the indian spices, the indian could not eat the chinese chilli overdoses and I loved both 😉 ). I have experienced a lot of new flavours that I need to cook back home and also braught a nice collection of spices.

Considering vegetarianism in germany:

* In university towns (or general at places where younger people gather), you won't have problems of getting vegetarian food.

* In production facilities (canteens) or rural areas (restaurants) they will serve mostly meat. You need to eat side dishes and salad only (also this doesn't garantee that they don't throw in meat as well). This is really a problem if you are working here.

* In town you can go to backeries, turkish food shops (falafel and vegetarian doener) or pizza.

* Cooking on your own: there are a lot of new tofu or saitan based products available to go meat-free.

So once again, a very big thank you so much for sharing the indian culture with your fellow wire-workers.

Felix

Gud mooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnniiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnggggg everybody Smiley HappySmiley Happy

Was busy a bit with Titano in the thread Muks pointed at Smiley Wink and also with the project here at TATA. Gud news is, i have finished the project and also Titano got answers to all his queries. Yesterday he mailed me and told this.

I want a little support from you guys. I still have 2 huge months in front of me. i am in a dilemma as what to do now. Of course, will be coming to TATA but here its not posssible to get another project.

I dont want to waste this precious time. You people suggest me something useful or involve me in some LabVIEW project, just for my learning.
