Spain I feel deserved to win after getting kicked and bruised (literally). Hollands didnt play with good spirit.

Still,its bad to loose the match which matters after not loosing 25 matches continuously. May be the Dutch required such harsh tactics against Spain's game plan of short passes and ball possession for long durations.

I really dont expect. It is not war and is still a game and doesnt require literall fighting.

Yeah, like "catches win matches" in cricket, "passes win matches" in football or soccer (whatever it is called).

Also, "holes create goals", in the sense, only when a team makes short passes & as many as within a short time, can it create holes in the opponent's defense, which in turn, will open up more space to reach the goal area.

Just during the lunch hour at our cafe's TV saw the World Champions being received at the airport, by the King of Spain. Although big rivals, there was a live telecast in Portugal about the "heroes" getting warm welcome home. 🙂 

The Dutch team was not with the true spirit. Didn't see all of their matches, so cannot comment on their overall attitude. Their tactics brought them to the Final, but not beyond. A real team work has better chances to win, in "normal" conditions.
