LabTOONS, The secret life of LabVIEW objects!

Today we look at the PIXAR short movie "Lifted" and see if we can make a few interesting obervations.

  • Gary Rydstrom must be a LabVIEW programmer, because the telekinesis interface of the alien spaceship definitely looks like it is LabVIEW based.
  • Mastery of a complicated user interface IS possible, but it probably needs a few centuries of practice.
  • Control labels are for wimps.

(The short "Lifted" is included on the "Ratatouille" DVD, but you can also watch it here)

Oh, come on. Chief engineer Montgomery Scott could have told you that 40 years ago. Smiley Very Happy

Here's a quick one for today. 🙂

I will probably have to take a summer break for a few weeks, because I have the house full of visitors from oversees and will be traveling too. I'll try to post one occasionally whenever I get a chance.

Another hollywood angle. The usual troublemakers attract the most paparazzi. 😄

Hi altenbach,

I love these cartoons!  An AE pointed me to this thread yesterday and I have had a blast reading them.  So funny!
