Why yes I do. Nice picture! I spent a week in that town several years ago taking a NI class on CSM campus. Great town full of very nice people.

My brother pointed out that images of the project we worked were offered as evidedence thatconservatives types do volunteer, which made me re-look and realized i was wrong when I said Iwas not in that picture but does show my .... foot.
Figures! the one chance I get to have my picture on a big news web-site and I am on my knees*painting the base boards.
Looking closer I also noticed the long roller I used and reminded me of painting a portrait with a brush at the end of a fly rod.
That weapon was a physical challenge to weild. We resorted to turning it into a 2-person tool with one person rolling and another that loaded the roller with paint (hitting the tray that is 15 feet away was not easy) and then "threw" the roller at the wall (do the math, a loaded roller at the end of a 20 foot required a lot of torque).
At 5 seconds into the video the whole family can be seen

While in C-school in the USN, we worked to maintain the facilites while theyt were building up classes. i was assigned to some building cleaning etc. including waxing and mopping. Since all of the people on the team were the same rank we took turns being the supervisor-for-the-day.
So when my turn came to supervise I got a chance to take care of what had bugged me (yes i was anal back then too)... but first a diversion.
Waxing floors using an industrial buffer taught me couple of leasons.
1) Waxing the floor in your bare feet, took care of scrapping the crap of your shoes and shining them.
2) The same crap that fouled your boots, got splattered on the base boards (more on this to come).
3) "Driving" an big industrial buffer amonted to subtles twists on the handle or lifting or depressing same. This of course prompted the physists in me to conduct an experiment.
What happens if;
You dump a bucket of wax on the floor,
You adjust the handle of the buffer straight up into its storage postion
Then sit on top of the buffer and hit the trigger
?
After being soaked by wax and trying a couple of times... yep you could collect ticket for tht ride!
but I digress...
So the spray of wax that built up on the base boards bugged me. When it came my turn to supervise I decided we were going to clean-up the build-up on the base board. This was not a very popular decision since this amounted to crawling along the floor with steel wool and doing everything by hand. My peers we pi$$ed big time.
So a suprise inspection happened as I was happily cleaning the base boards and my ears were burning under the inaudible curses of the team. The notoriously evil Chief Petty Officer who was in charge when discovering all of us on our knees scrubbing the base boards boomed out the question;
"Who is in charge of this bull$hit ? "
With a single voice the team replied "He is!" with every finger pointed at me. i could feel the venom in the words and stares.
I do not know where and when i formed the idea but I had told myself I would never ask anyone else to do what i would not do myself. So when the fingers were pointing, they were pointing at someone who was on their knees and was scrubbing along with everyone else.
the notriously eveil Chief replied "good job. I need a new supply room supervisor."
Years latter at another job in another life I was pleased to find a plaque on a a s managers wall that read;
"
Have you caught anyone doing the right thing today?
"
The plaque brought back memories of that day on the foor every time I saw it.
Take away messages:
1) do the right thing even when nobody will notice. You never know when someone will look. (If your code is subject to the possiblity of audit you can sleep soundly).
2) doing the right thing is not always easy and often not very popular.
