Definately concider yourself lucky.  My brother and his wife just lost their daughter a couple of weeks ago (their first).  It was due early January.

Oh I do consider myself fortunate!  Your family will be in my prayers.

@Ben- yup, same parents I believe the term is "Irish Twins"  Not all that uncommon in my familly  My eldest sister 1 year 354 days older than I.  We have a sister wedged in between.  The father was born 11 mos and 16 days before his sister.  He plays gin rummy well but needs a new hobby that gets him out of the houseSmiley Very HappySmiley LOL

My wife Sarah, (AKA the LMB) was discharged yesterday from the hospital.  She is recovering from "necrotizing fasciitits"  While that is a great word to use in a Scrabble game, most of you would not wish to go through it or watch your loved ones go through it.

Wow, i hope there's no issues or side effects. Sounds like a flesh eating bug or something?

My wife and I also lost a child about two months ago, it was to be our second (a brother/sister for our son). So it's great to hear the good news that you've a new grandchild! That makes me happy Smiley Happy

Congratulations Jeff !

It's kinda funny to read about people being grandfathers, instead of fathers.  Of course you had to be a father first.

Time does go back quickly doesn't it?

Wishing the new-born & parents health, joy and prosperity.  Wishing the grand-parents time to visit the family.

You have to enjoy life, as it is the most important reason to live.  😉

Spoiler
That and writing LabVIEW software, of course!

I couldn't agree with you more!

P.S.  No potatoes?  ( My mother's ancestry can be traced to a gentlemen who came from Germany in the 1700's. German food is a favorite.)
