Simple LabVIEW Puzzle Challenge

Inkscape is another great software that is free. I do a lot of my own graphics and they are both really good programs.

A LabVIEW programmer looking at SETI data received a signal similar to the "Wow" signal but hid it from the SETI community.  Unfortunately he decided to leave the cruncher community to teach piano and left his *.vi password protected.

This is where you come in…the SETI community needs our help <futuristic music starts playing>.  They have discovered the colors seem to occur in ~100ms increments and seem to be intelligent life.  The sequence is too fast to decipher by sight so we need your help figuring out what this signal says.

Before he left the SETI community...he left a clue to his friend and fellow cruncher, he knew the intelligent beings first name and that is why he left.  What is the first name?

Unfortunately, he left the code in the latest version of LabVIEW so I can't read it.

Too bad he didn't find this signal using an older version.

Is his name "Dash"?

I always liked YYZ:

And that's a real big fat hint for certain people.

Tst,

That would be hard to extract YYZ from. Nice work. Go ahead and post your solution. I felt bad since this puzzle wasn't exactly simple but I got the idea after listening to a talk about black box testing video slot machines.

I will post a solution in a bit.
