Absolutely not. I never touched OOP until after I had to recertify my CLA. But it is a great tool to have if you can get it.
And now for a shameless plug: Certification Nugget: CLA

Thanks for the info! I just want to improve a lot, that is why I am asking for advice 🙂 I feel I did not do a too good job at the CLD exam, I passed the exam because I got full points for the documentation part. If I pass the CLA, I want to pass it with a solid level.

I too am a CLNCA (Certified LabVIEW No Class Architect). I had libraries for organization but no classes. OO is not required, but if you are familiar with it, and the actor framework then it might help in getting templates started faster. If you are unfamilar with OO and the actor framework you should probably avoid it in the CLA and use what is the most familar (but most applicable) design pattern.

NI prices per day per studii (the CORRECT plurality of student) are only marginally more than average. The CPIs are more than marginally qualified. TMHO. Your results may vary. You will have an average instructor.
Except you don't want to pluralize student in this case. Should be just "per student". ;-)

Although it sounds like it might not help you with your whisky columns and beer cooling industrial dispensers, I'm pretty sure when I took the AF course last Nov/Dec there was an academic discount which took the price down by a considerable factor. Probably the intercontinental flights to attend made it make less difference, but still...
