moving, again

Ray,

I am just south of Dayton, OH.  About 1-1.5 hours from Columbus and about half an hour north of Cincinnati.

One of my wife's physicians is in Columbus and my mother lives in NE Ohio, so I travel that way several times per year.

I've spent more time on I-70 than I care to admit.  My wife (then girl-friend/fiance) went to school in the Pittsburgh area for 3 years and her family is in eastern OH (very close to Wheeling, WV).  Columbus is a short trip to me.

I hope the move to PA went smoothly and all is well with your job! You will glad to know we may hit a record high of 118F today and tomorrow in PHX.

The wires on my BD are starting to sag under the heat and load. At least it is a dry heat (a least for the next week or two). Can't wait for the haboobs and monsoon storms to arrive.

Take care.

You should have opted for NI's extra-durable wires toolkit. We had a record of 129F (that's 54C to those of us who actually like to understand what we're measuring) and my wires are fine. The toolkit is also very good if you have heavy payloads you want to transfer around (it's almost a must if you want to do proper DB work).

I have found that if you don't have it, using the thick LVOOP wires and making the outside yellow helps. I'm not sure why yellow.

As you read this, I should probably point out that the aircon in my office has chosen this week to become inefficient at cooling and that this may be affecting my writing. Luckily, I was able to relocate to a more user friendly area to continue working and I believe by now the problem there should be fixed.

AK2DM:

The move went smoothly, except for the many items that were lost during shipment.  5 boxes worth.  Movers are going to reimburse me at least.  Nice and cool here, in the upper 70s.  But it rains all the time.  Quite a difference from Phx.  So the next time you see me, if I look like I have a tan, well that isn't a tan, it's rust.

I'll be in the dry heat once again for 4th of July weekend, visiting the family.  Looking forward to the sunshine and living in an oven.

Which moving company was this?

I have moved 12+ times since college, and [knock on wood] haven't lost a box yet, though I have had a nice USA-made needle nose plier stolen from an unlocked toolbox.

I would rather not name the company because they hire local packers, and its the packers that did a lousy job at inventory.  Many items not tagged.  I've moved several times and I have seen items delivered to me that were not mine.  Of course I returned them.  But this is the first time that any boxes were lost.
