speed boost to old laptop

my shiny shiny new solid state hardrive arrives (hopefully!) on the weekend.

no more waiting for LabVIEW to load! 🙂

I will post some load times when its all up and running (unless its rubbish, in which case I will be quiet!)

Also getting Win7. Anyone here had success/trouble getting LV2009+DAQmx to install on Win7?

My biggest thought now is which versions of LV should I install? I am tending towards rather putting older versions (which I do not use so regularly) in a VM (probably Virtualbox) to keep my main machine nice and uncluttered. Any suggestions here?

Perhaps Labview 7.1 will be a tip. From the days then you could make your own serial number. If you knew the trickSmiley Very Happy

Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

I did come accross one thread this or last week where someone mentionned having installation problems on Win7.  Since I don't have Win7, I didn't pay much attention.  A simple search should allow you to find it.  It was a recent post.  And it may be something unique as well, so don't base your experience on that one..  😉
