How to prepare for CLA-R

Another major issue with the CLA-R is that it was written so that a CLA should get a 75.  You need a 70 to pass.  So you basically have 1 or 2 questions between expected result and failure.

Due note that I was told this after I took the CLA-R at the CLA Summit in 2012.  But from I have seen, the CLA-R has not been updated since.

It felt like that when I did the CLA-R yesterday...

Feels like if you fail, you just do it again. And again... Given I got 2 questions of the example, I suppose there are only 1-2 hundred question. You'll learn what answers are expected after a few rounds.

That's probably the idea of informing us after 5 month that it's now to late to re-certify by points, and then giving a voucher to do the CLA-R: the first one's free.

Exam Topics

  • The topics for the CLD-R exam include all the topics listed in the CLAD and CLD
    preparation guides.
  • Because of the nature of the CLD exam, some important CLD topics are not thoroughly
tested in the CLD exam. The CLD-R exam intends to emphasize those topics and also
test on some of the newer features from the last two releases of LabVIEW.
  • The CLD-R exam tests your experience as a CLD and your ability to evaluate a short
application scenario and select the most appropriate solution or answer.
