First Round:

Summary:

This VI loads a national weather service and extracts the current temperature, dew point and humidity.  One such page is

http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KRAL.html

Function:

This program demonstrates gathering data from a web page for the VI challenge.  The program reads the web page, removes the HTML formatting codes, and searches for the temperature, humidity, and dew point data     

Steps to execute code:

Load the project.  the VI is read web page.  Enter the weather web page of interest.

Thanks for the submission, hekdude.  Nice use of a state machine as well as a clean/concise UI for the information from the weather site. 

Unfortunately, the deadline for the 1st round was 11:59pm on March 13th.  Since both you and Michael Lacasse(mike_nrao) didn't get your submission in on time, we will actually make that spot in the quarterfinals a "dark horse" position.  Tomorrow we will run another poll with both of your submissions along with the four other players who don't progress to the next round from today's polls.  The player who gets the most votes in that poll will move on.
