I am using Labview 7.1 and am having trouble programming the PCI-6601 to simultaneously measure signals on more than one channel. I searched the discussion board and found the following post: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=170&message.id=27350&requireLogin=False
The problem apparently has to do with the 6601 only having
one DMA channel, so you have to set the other counters to use IRQ. The post says to the Set
DAQ Device Information VI to set the other counters to use interrupts. I am not familiar with that setting. Please post a reply if you know.
The post also mentions a new counter palette that shows multiple counters. Does that become part of the Labview function palette? The link from the post is:
http://digital.ni.com/softlib.nsf/websearch/abc2de0382fb157a86256ad90068986e?OpenDocument
It links to a .zip file. It claims to be a palette for TIO based
devices, which the 6601 is. Has anybody
installed this counter palette, and is there anything complicated about installing
it, or do you just run a setup file?
Thanks for any information,
Jeff
