Can I control digital lines with counters?

I have a PCI-6711. I want to send 3 one-microsecond trigger pulses out of the board (t0, t1, t2). The times between the triggers (d01, d12) are variable, and need to be accurate to at least 1 microsecond. From what I've read, it seems the best way to do all the timing stuff is with the counters. Since the 6711 only has two counter outputs, I want to know if I can just use the counters for timing outputs on the digital lines.

Hello;

In case you use both counters to accomplish the timming your application requires, the pulse trains will be generated at the counter output pins only.

The digital lines of that board don't have hardware timming. To have 3 pulses, you would need a counter board. Take a look at one of the 660x family.

Hope this helps.
