Can you use the selected source and selected aux-line on the 6602 for position measuement?

I am using a 6602 counter in labview and would like to be able to switch between two sources/aux-lines for my position measurement. Is this possible using the selected source or aux-line. From what I can tell you need to hard wire these connections.
