Controlling counter's output value when gated

I have a PCI6071E board and try to generate pulses with its counter (DAQ-STC). When its gate is enabled the counter works ok, but if it's disabled the counter's output always keeps its last value. Can I control it explicitly ? I.e., tell it to be always 0 when the gate is disabled ?

Thank you,
Sergey.

Greetings,

When a counter is "paused" due to gating, it will always remain in its current state. You are unable to change this behavior, but there is an example on National Instruments' web site, which uses two counters to assign the counter's gated state (low or high). The example is available at the following location: HERE

Good luck with your application.
