Enable digital filter for external filter clock on 6601

I am programing a 6601 counter at the register level and need to digital filter a input line to debounce it. I have been able to use the preset values in bits 6-4, etc depending on the line, in the I/O config register to filter a line and been able to demonstate with testing that the filtering is working. I need to be able to enable filtering with an external filter clock signal to get the required pulse width rejection. I have not been able to find any info on how to enable the filtering for an external filter clock signal and where to input the signal.

I  know how to attach the I/O lines (PFI and RTSI) to filter inputs but have not been abel to find info on how to attach output signals to the RTSI lines.

Thanks for your help

Jerry

Do you mean how to physically connect ouput lines to the RTSI Bus?  or do you mean internal Routing?  What exactly do you need info about, in the sense of how to wire output signals to the RTSI lines?   If you could expand on this a little I should be able to get the information for you.

Thank you

Need to know how to intenally route signals to RTSI pins and the pin out of the connecter. I know how to make the physical connection.

I think that the following knowledbase may address your issue.  It makes use of the export signal function that internally routs a signal on your board to any of the PFI or RTSI lines.

Please read this and see if this applies to you.  If it doesn't can you please expand on where the signal is coming from.  Is it coming from the 6601? is it coming in from another device? what kind of signal is it? etc. It might also be useful if you gave me a short example of what you would like to do in the sense,  I want to connect Dev1\ctr0 to Dev1\RTSI1.

All of this information will help me tremendously. let me know thank you

The application I have requires more than 4 clocks. I have several 6601's and want to connect 2 together internally over the RTSI bus for my application. The Labview VI DAQmxRTSI Connect is exactly what I want to do only I need to do the programing at the register level rather than in Labview. I an familar with the register Gi Input Select Register which allows different connections to be used as the source for a clock or gate. What I do not have is info on how to connect the ouput of a clock to one of the RTSI lines so it can be seen as RTSI input on a second clock.

Thanks for your help

Since this involves the Measurement Hardware Driver Development Kit, I suggest you post to the following discussion forum relating to this type of application.  This forum is monitored by other engineers that specialize with this development kit.  You will likely be able to get a much better response from them.

Please repost on this forum if you are not using the MHDDK, or something similar to this when using register level programing.
