The SCXI channels are connected to the analog input stage of the
E-series board. You cannot internally route an AI channel to a counter
pin - that is why this has to be done externally with wires. The
problem is, that you have your SCXI chassis connected to the 68 pin
connector of the board. To access the counter- , analog output- and
remaining digital channels you would need to use a so called
feedthrough panel; the SCXI 1180.
