Minimum installation NI-DAQ 7.4.4

Hello,

I would like to distribute my VB application on a CD. I need to install NI-DAQ 7.4.4 for a PCI-6602 card, so I would like to copy the NI-DAQ installer on the same CD. However, the installation package is huge (300 MB).

Could someone tell me how to cut down the installation package (remove all the language supports, unnecessary Labview relted stuff, etc.) to keep only the functionalities I require for the 6602 card and MAX. I guess I have to edit the setup.ini file, but I am not sure which files to remove.

Hello Atacama,

We are aware of the issue with the size of our drivers, which came about with our keenness to provide everyone with a true plug & play set of drivers.

However, we didn't address it until the early releases of our NI-DAQmx drivers. You will find that with NI-DAQmx there are different installations you can choose from which can be as little as 95MB!

Would you consider tweaking your code to accomodate for the new drivers?
