Problems by using MEASURE BUFFERED POSITION

Hello,

Im using the VI MEASURE BUFFERED POSITION for reading a sequence of position of a rotary encoder with a PCI-6602.
If I rotate the encoder so that channel A leads channel B, I get the right results with X1, X2 and X4 encoding. If I change the rotating direction, so that channel B leads, the counter doesnt decrement how it is described in the user manual.
In my application the counter increments, but not with the right number of steps, which should come from the encoder.
I'm waiting for your answers as soon as possible.
Best regards,
Floh

You may be having noise issues on your inputs. You can try enabling the digital debounce filters for the specific inputs you are using to see if it helps. There is an example that shows how digital filters are configured that ships with DAQ (Count Edges - Digital Filter (NI-TIO).vi).

Hope this helps!
