Synchronize a counter and Analog Output

Hello all,
I want my Analog Output generation and my Counter0 operations to start at the same time. Any ideas how to accomplish it.
I have tried to feed the output of another counter1 to the gate of counter0 as well as to the clock source of Analog Output (GPCTR1).

This however doesnt seem the solution.
Will appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

You have a good idea, I think you are just connecting your signals to the wrong connections. The Analog Output external clock connection is PFI5/UPDATE for E-Series boards, not GPCTR1.

Another option you may want to consider is to use a TTL signal as a Gate for the counter operation and as a trigger for the analog output operation. In this case, the analog output trigger pin is PFI0/TRIG1 for E-Series boards.

Let me know if you have any questions about this. Also, let me know what your counter operation is and what DAQ board you are using.

Thanks bman,
I have the BNC 2090 connected to PCI-6052E board and i use its 2 on-board counters.
So i just connect the external TTL clock signal to PFI5?

Actually i had already thought of using an external trigger to start both operations, however can this be accomplished internally ???

Thanks
