Here is a link to a table which includes all the DAQ hardware that will work on a Mac OS:

NI-DAQmx and NI-DAQ Driver Support: PCI/PXI Devices

http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/6910/en/

When programming with our Data Acquisition hardware, you will need to install the DAQmx Base driver. This drivers is specific to the Mac OS. The readme for this driver can be found in the link below. You can also find a list of supported hardware here.

README for NI-DAQmx Base 15.0.0

Thanks but this too much information.  If I call sales (always an iffy proposition) and ask the same question, I would expect a more specific answer.  I was hoping that someone here could do that.

If you would like a narrowed down list of devices you will need to be a bit more specific about what you are looking for. For example:

-What apple computer do you have?

-What form factor are you looking for? PCI card?

-What is your application?

All that is irrelevant to me.  I wanted the question answered I asked it.

You can see in the attached picture (which I took from the link I provided previously). It seems there are no counter/timer PCI cards that will work with a Mac OS. Knowing your application could help me to suggests hardware that could potentially work instead. The DAQmx Base readme has a list of supported hardware. If you feel that you would benefit from a conversation with one of our sales engineers feel free to reach out to them at 512-685-0007.

Did I say any where that it had to be PCI board? And as far as applications go, I need a timer is that so hard to figure out from asking about counter/timer boards.  The sales engineer I talked to was just a useless.  Just forget it.

We have a wide range of products available to our customers, so that is why my initial response had quite a bit of information. When I asked what form factor you were looking for, you said that was irrelevant so I was only left to assume. Unfortunately, it looks as though we do not have counter/timers available for Mac OS.

This thread is like a tutorial on how not to ask questions.
