a task with multiple channel encoder counter inputs

I have PXI-6602 to do measurement of 8 axis encoder. I want to make single task dealing with 8 channel encoder counting. MAX said I can't do that because current DAQmx (7.3.1) can't do the multi-channel encoder counting within single task.

I saw new version (7.4) . Can the version do that?

There has not been any change in 7.4 encoder wise that would make it different from 7.3. I would encourage you though to download 7.4 since there are many other features such as simulated devices that have been added.
