best card for 1 -100 hz pulse output with variable duty cycle

Hi,

What would be the best card to output 1 -100 Hz pulse with variable duty cycle with maybe 4-8 digital outputs.
It would be very preferable to be a USB compatible card and be cheap.

Also, I am not very fimiliar with LabView.
Will I  be able to program to card easily with the Basic version?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello JPNaidu,

I would suggest using the USB-6210 or the PCI-6602.  You would only need 1 counter per PWM signal.  The USB-6211 only has 2 counters so you might need multiple boards.  The PCI-6602 has 8 counters but uses the PCI bus architecture.

Here is a great DevZone article that describes how to setup a PWM signal in LabVIEW.  Refer to Figure 3 in the article.

Its great when using counters, not so great when using DIO.

1-100Hz PWM over USB on 8+ digital lines should be a simple task for LabVIEW but I haven't found a single example of this anywhere
