can't get IRIG on MAX

I have a PCI-6682H card in slot 2 of a PXIe-1075 chassis.  MAX has no problem seeing the card and running the self test.  But the test panel cannot find the IRIG time reference.  It will only display the PC system clock.  I am using IRIGB AM type.  I've checked my IRIG source and connections and haven't found a problem.  Any suggestions?

Hello Faustina,

I want to clarify where you are running into a problem. In test panels, when you click on "Set Time Reference," is IRIG not an option? Is it missing or greyed out?

On my system, I have the following options when setting my time reference:

For future reference, you can view this KnowledgeBase for more information on setting the IRIG-B clock to system time.

I can "Set Time Reference" to IRIG and then I set IRIG Type to IRIGB AM.  None of the options are greyed out.  I've check my IRIG source to the card and the cable connections between the source and the card.  The card passes the self test.  But the "Time Reference Present" LED does not light up and the time displayed [Current Time (local)] is incorrect.

Hello faustina,

The "Time Reference Present" looks at the incoming signal and confirms that it meets the IRIG standard. If there is a packet missing or a problem with the signal, the LED will not light up.

I recommend verifying that your incoming signal meets the IRIG requirements specified in the PXI 6682 User Manaul
