Hi,
I have LabView Version 6.i and a Timer/Counter Card PCI-6602 from ni.
I have an incremental encoder attached to it.
I want to measure the frequency of the incremental emcoder an write it into a excel-sheet.
Therefore I modified the measure_frequency.vi from the labview help files (see atachement).

Unfortunately it takes  10 seconds to measure 50 points. So the sampling rate is 200ms. This is way to low for me!

Could somebody check my test.vi and tell me what I have to change to increase the sampling rate¨

Hi Silvan,

you did choose a pretty old Version of LabVIEW and depending on this a old DAQ Version.

The example you used for your VI shows they way how to measure Frequency with counter.

To get a much better performance I would strongly recommend to update at least to LV 7.0. Than your able to use the DAQmx Driver with better performance.
