Did you mean:

information on "pci-6608" ?

hello,
Does anybody have information to the PCI-6608 ?
Moreover, does this device exist?
Other pages refer to this device, but it is not in the NI catalogue (but, if I search on NI homepage, also
there at one place mentioned).
Why I am interested:
I want to use Matlab in combination with a NI timer/counter. Mathworks mentions on its homepage
in a list of supported hardware
(besides PXI-6602 and PXI-6608)
only PCI-6608 (???).
Another question: Does anybody know whether
Matlab DataAcquisitionToolbox supports
PCI-6602 of NI ?

thanks

Hello,

6608 is in the form of PXI only.

I want to add to Sastry's reply on the 6608. One of the main advantage of having the 6608 in PXI form factor is that with the device in slot 2 of the PXI chassis, the oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO)onboard (accuracy of 75 ppb) is used instead of the less accurate voltage-controlled crystal osciallator (VCXO) (accuracy of 50 ppm). In addition, the OXCO of the PXI-6608 automatically replaces the PXI 10 MHz backplane clock when it is in the slot 2 of the chassis. This means that any other devices with phase lock capability can take advantage of the high accuracy OCXO.
This advantage is not available for the PCI form factor, so the 6608 is only available in the PXI form factor.

June
