I am using a tio 6601 board with an HP 8116A pulse generator,SCB 68 connector block, and LabVIEW 6.1. When I enter a control pulse count, my counter overcounts by as much as 10%. Is there a reason and a fix for this?
You might be having noise issues. You might try enabling the digital filters on the TIO. Try using the "Count Edges - Digital Filter (NI-TIO).vi" example that ships with NI-DAQ and try different filter settings. You can find the example with the example finder by searching for "digital filter".
