2-plane Balancing

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to go about getting a polar (radial) plot to display imbalance of a rotor on two planes in Dasylab. I have set up two accelerometers (one at each end of the rotor) measuring the vibration level, a light sensor (detects reflective strip on rotor for speed and '0' position).
From this setup I believe it is possible to obtain two plots (one for each end of rotor) showing amount and position (in degrees from 0 mark) of imbalance.

I currently am able to obtain the FFT and "overall" vibration levels for the above setup using "built in" modules from dasylab.
I am running Dasylab V9.00.01 with the NI-PCI-4472 daq card, and Win XP SP2,

Any help as to how to tackle this or ideas on where to start would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks to all in advance for your assistance Smiley Happy

Glenn.

Glenn,

Thanks for posting to the NI Forums.  I am more familiar with the NI 4472 than with the DASYLab Software but it does sound like you are headed down the right track.  It may be that one of the members of the forum will answer your question here, however, I would recommend also posting to the forum at www.dasylab.com since you may have more luck getting a response on that forum.

Good luck with your application.
