Burst signal

Hello,

I have a trapezoidal signal and with this signal i should make a burst of 1sec and 5 sec.

My first question is, what is a burst? An detailed explanation would be greatly appreciated!

My second question is, how can i make a burst with my trapezoidal signal?

With best regards,

Michel van Lier

I don't know what you mean by "burst" as well.

In the DAQ world, we often want a short TTL signal, where the duration of the TTL High (5V) is small compared to the timeframe of the signal.... short "bursts" of TTL high.

From a trapezoidal signal... you have a TTL low period, then a sloped rise to TTL high, then some duration of TTL high, with a sloped fall back to low. Can you use a trigger module to convert that trapezoid into a rectangle --- as it rises above 0, then the trigger output would be 5, and as it falls back to zero, it would be 0. You can set the threshold anywhere on the slope of the trapezoid.

Can you post an image or a data file with your trapezoid, and how you want it to be converted?
