NI-CAN Sample code

I'm trying to use a NI USB 8473 to communicate to a CAN-equipped vehicle.  I think I've almost got it right, but SOMETHING isn't quite right.  I'm sure I'm just missing something. 

Anybody have some sample code I could see to compare to?

I don't have any recent experience, but let me give this a try.

I have to assume that you correctly installed any software and drivers that came with the device, and they work correctly?

Which driver did you install? I suggest the second one, not the first one. I think the USB CAN works best with the NI-CAN driver, not the combined driver.
