Need some help I am a beginner

I received a machine with DasyLab program installed. I would like to modify a feature. When the pressure reaches 100 (set point) the programs start counting down the time set under pressure previously, if the pressure drops to lets say 99.9 the cound down time stops. I would like to create a feature that starts counting down when the pressure reaches the plus/minus value pressure set by the user lets say I want to reach 90kpsi, and my +/- value is 1kpsi then the program starts counting down when the system reaches 89 (-1) and when reaches 88.9 activates the pump to increase the pressure of the system, and so on, then opens the valves when the set hold time has reached. I have no clue in this program how to do it. Hope I can get some help and instructions how to do it. Any advise where to start in order to learn how to program in DasyLab?

Since you are new to DASYlab I would recommend going to the DASYlab website at www.dasylab.com. Once there you can create an account for free and then you will gain access to users manuals, downloads, and other useful information that will help you become acquainted with the program. The users manual is a great place to start learning how to use DASYlab.

So look at the website first since it is a great resource to help you get started. Then if you find out that you can not customize DASYlab enough for your particular application you might want to consider LabVIEW. LabVIEW is a graphical programming language that allows you to easily acquire and analyze data. The great thing about LabVIEW is that since it is a programming language it is extremely flexible and it would be very easy to implement the algorithm that you described in your post. There is a lot of information about LabVIEW that you can find by just browsing www.ni.com.
