Send command to other equipment via NI GPIB cable.

Hello everyone. I have a Keithley 2700 DMM that is connected to the computer via the NI GPIB/USB (IEEE 488.2) cable.
How do I send command to the DMM using the DASYLAB 9.0 IEEE output object to scan 2 DCV channels? Thanks for any form of advises. Appreciate if there could be an example.

Did you see the response to this in the DASYLab forum?

Hello CJ BUTLER

I have Dasylab 9 with GPIB/USB and Keilthey 6220.
It seems you have got some demands for the same application.
I search some programs examples i can use with Dasylab. It seems that in lower version there had some examples but not any more.
When I send a command, the instrument turns in remote, but just the fact to send a string put it in Remote.
It seems that the USB/GPIB responds, but i don't know where i can check.
Please can you help on this important project for me.
Best regards

This is the example that I created for the Keithley 2700 series meter. I think that most Keithley meters use the same command language, so it's possible that it will work with some modifications. This was created using the NI GPIB controller.

If you have a TCP/IP Ethernet type device, we don't support that directly. It's possible, but not likely, that the ICOMS Input module would work with it. Because most instruments require a program with setup, monitoring, and shut down logic, ICOMS is too simplistic.

I don't have the meter that you are working with, so, it's very difficult to determine how to make it work. Perhaps you could contact your DASYLab reseller for assistance?

I don't have access to your device, and, without that, I can't send an example.
