TC-08 and Dasylab

Hi guys,

Someone at work recently bought an Omega TC-08 (http://www.omega.com/pptst/TC-08.html) and wanted to use it along with a Dasylab program I previously setup.  I believe the TC-08 is actually made by PICO and was just relabled by omega (http://www.picotech.com/thermocouple.html).

Searching through the forums and online, I found documentation for using the TC-08 with labview, but no dasylab.  Does anyone know how to set this up?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi,

I've seen this before. I've asked Omega if they wanted DASYLab support, but, at the time, they had no interest. The device comes with its own logging software.

A quick scan of the PICO site doesn't give me any sense that DASYLab can talk to it without a driver.

You need to go back to Omega and ask for support (we call this market pull), or contact PICO with the same request.

Should you wish to write your own driver, we recommend the Extensions Toolkit, available for $799. It provides documentation and examples for writing modules in DASYLab. You would use the DASYLab DLL to communicate with the PICO DLL.

Measurement Computing (MCC) has free technical support. Visit www.mccdaq.com and click on the "Support" tab for all support options, including DASYLab.
