3D graph data from excel file.

Hi:

I am beginning to use Diadem, I want to plot a 3D graph, the data is from an excel file, on the x channel I assigned data from simulation 1, on the y channel the data from simulation 2 and on the z channel I want the data from time stamp. when I plot the data nothing appeared in the graph, but if I assigned to the z channel the data correspond to the samples I obtain the graph. But I do not want this.

I attached the excel file.

Thanks.

Hi

It would help if  you can give a better description of what you are wanting.  If you can look at the shipping 3D examples, and then reference something close in a screen shot, it would help.

Hi Leon,

In the Excel file you attached, the "Time Stamp" column is formatted as text.  When I load that column into DIAdem, I have to convert it to a DateTime channel first, but then I can graph it as the Z channel of a 3D graph.

This looks like it was originally a TDM or TDMS data file that was loaded into Excel and saved as an *.xlsx file.  If you have access to the original TDM or TDMS data file, that will load correctly into DIAdem and you won't need to convert the "Time Stamp" column.

Yes, I converted the z channel to data time and took the data directly from tdms files, but now my problem is that only shows the hour like this 08:53 and I want to see 23/08/2012 8:53:45:250.

Hi Leon,

If you're in the REPORT panel, then you can specify the datetime display to look like "23/08/2012 8:53:45:250" with the following format string, "#dd/mm/yyyy hh:nn:ss.fff".  There is no option to alter the datetime display in a 3D contour plot in the VIEW panel.
