Can't install Diadem 10 on my new computer

Solved!

To whom it concern

I have received a new computer and wanted to install my Diadem 10.0 software on it. At the same time I received Labview from our central system at Volvo but missed the license. I then installed Diadem 10.0 and it worked. Then my problems started. I needed the CANDriver for cancases from vector but couldn't find any for my version. At the same time my Diadem installation interfered with the Labview license server I then tried to uninstall diadem and Labview but I wasn't successful so I deleted the files with Explorer. After this it was not anymore possible to reinstall neither Diadem or Labview on the computer. The Diadem installation displays: no software to remove or install and the installation is stopped. Is there some missed files, blocking the installation due to the explorer deletion of the NI directory?

Any suggestions

Best regards

Anders

Hello aeohagman,

You might want to try the MSIBlast application from Microsoft, but I can't guarantee it will not do any harm to your operating system.

There is a link here:

http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/send-me-link-to-download-of-msiblast-to-unistall-labview-8-6/td-p/79...

Generally, Windows applications do not respond kindly when the directories are simply removed - that is not an NI specific issue, but a general Windows situation.

I hope this helps,
