Cannot execute interpolation

I'm using a 3D characteristic diagram to view my data, and I keep getting a "Cannot execute interpolation.  Check parameters/data."  However, I cannot find anything wrong.  Keep in mind that I have used this exact data to generate a Characteristic diagram in the past.  The data is good, all the same length, no novalues, etc.

For your reference, I am using a script to create the 3D characteristic diagram.  I'm using graph object commands to create them.  It has worked in the past, with no issues at all.  I cannot even create the diagram manually, so I don't know what's going on.

Any ideas?

Hi Mr. Spark Plug,

Please submit the data file(s) and the REPORT layout that causes this problem, and we'll take a look at it.  Off hand, I can't think of a reason why this should be happening, so I'll have to just poke around and see if I can find some clues.

Thanks Brad.  I am working with Daniel de Gaston on this as well.  Do you want me to send him the data file, or directly to you?  Also, I am not using a TDR, as it does not seem to work with 3D charts (every time I load a TDR with 3D charts, I have to recreate each chart).  So, I am using graph objects in my script to create the 3D charts.  Dan has that script.

I had shared my desktop with Dan yesterday so he could see the issue for himself, and during that time, we noticed that copying a group of channels to the clipboard would fail for some groups, but would succeed on other groups, even if there was more data to be copied. I believe Dan can explain this better.

Let me know what you would like me to do with the script and data file.

Thanks.

Hi Russ,

Could you please describe more in detail what "doesn't seem to work" when you load a TDR file with a Characteristic Diagram object in it?  You can reassign the channel references after loading the TDR if you need to, but this is definitely the simplest way to go.

Dan had not contacted me, so I have no access to your data or scripts,

Brad, In the past, I created a TDR with 3D charts in it, and whenever I loaded the tdr, the 3D charts did not display anything.  The only way to get them to work was to delete the chart and re-create them.  It didn't work even when I went into the charts properties, and updated the x, y, and z axis channels.  This is why I taught myself how to create them in a script with 3D object commands.

I discovered that Windows 7 does not have the Interpolation error, while XP does.  I updated the computer to windows 7 and it seems to be working.  So for now, it has been fixed by upgrading to windows 7.

Also, the 3D chart TDR now works as well...  So maybe something was wrong with my XP install...  I don't know. I'm pretty sure I checked everything, but it could have been my error.  Either way, it works now.

If I have the problem again, I will let you know.

Thanks.
