Hello
I have another problem.
I need Diadem to calculate the characteristic frequency of the signal selected by the cursors.
Therefore, I create a new channel using the Select and CopyBlock functions in the VIEW panel.
I will then use the Characterize Oscillation function. But it returns me the wrong value.
Please see the images "InputChannels.jpg" and "CharacterizeOscillation.jpg" in the attachments.
As you can see, the function returns 0.457 Hz as the maximum amplitude of the whole frequency domain.
But there is a larger value of about 50Hz (amplitude value of 150). And this is the expected value, at least for me.
Does anyone know the cause of this behavior? Or at least a workaround .
I'm not very proficient in FFT analysis, so maybe I'm missing something.
Diadem is 2023Q2 version.
Thank you in advance.
John

Hi John,
that does not seem to be the expected behaviour of the "Characterize Oscillation" feature. Typically the highest amplitude should be returned.
Could you provide the original data (e.g. tdms file) for the signal so I can try to reproduce it on my system?
Best regards
