DIAdem taking a long time to load 700MB TDMS file to data portal

took four hours to defragment but it worked. Thanks a lot for your help Stefan.

there was  huge decrease to about 400MB for the TDMS and less than a 100KB for the index

Hi Yin,

Now that we know your data can be defragmented and you're happy with the result, the next thing to do is to look at your data acquisition code to see if we can avoid creating defragmented files in the first place.  Chances are that we can.  Would you be willing to post the TDMS file writing portion of your code?  Also, what version of LabVIEW are you using?
