Hello,
I have noticed that the performance of DIAdem is severely impacted on machines running the Windows 10 creators update (1709). Data loads fine, but when I try to load a view, the process can take up to 10 minutes and in some cases crash diadem. I do not see this behavior on machines running the previous version of Windows 10 (1607). Does anyone know of a fix?

I should mention that I am running Diadem 2015 15.0.0f6005 (64-bit)

Hello NeedDIAdemHelp,
The first versions which officially supports W10 and was tested to run under W10 are DIAdem 2015 SP1 and SP2. The version you are pointing to is without service pack. Installing the latest service pack for 2015 is surly recommended, but I’m not sure whether this will solve the problem.
Greetings
Walter

I downloaded an evaluation version of DIAdem 2017 and can confirm that it is slow, perhaps more so than 2015. I'm thinking that some of the slowdown might be related to the Windows Defender updates.

Hi,
Which type of the loading behavior is selected in your DIAdem settings?

Hi Walter,
Initially my loading behavior was set to "Load bulk data when changing channel data". However, I tried the other two settings and the slow loading behavior persists.

Hi NeedDIAdemHelp,
I don’t have a really good idea what happens on your PC after the Windows update. Maybe some more details can help:
How many channels does your dataset have?
How many values per channel does your dataset have?
Your W10 is a 64-bit version, isn’t it?
How many free disc space does your C drive have?
How many internal memory does your PC have?
Greetings
Walter

Also seeing major slow downs with DIAdem 2017 64bit on Win 10 Creators Update v1709.
6+ minutes to switch from Navigator to View. Even with no data loaded. In View, it takes 5+ seconds to activate Pan or Zoom or other icons.
My DataFinder had crashed previously so did a full re-install of DIAdem. DataFinder worked for two days before it crashed again.
I cannot say for sure this started immediately after the Creators update.
This is really painful to use. Anyone have suggestions?

Hi Walter,
The views are slow to load regardless of how many channels are in the data set. However, the view loading time does seem to increase with respect to the number of sheets in a view. I have listed the specifications of my system below but I don't think that system specs are relevant to this issue.
I am running Windows 10 1709 64-bit, 800 gb free disc space, 16 gb of RAM
