DIAdem will not start

Just downloaded DIAdem 2019 SP1 for eval.  Rebooted.  Uninstalled and tried again.  Splash screen comes up for a min or so then disappears. 

 

System = Windows 10 Enterprise (SHB-A), 64-bit, 64GB RAM

 

Help!

Hi Tommy,

 

Sorry for the slow response.  Did you run the *.exe/*.msi installer file (old method) or use the NI Package Manager to install DIAdem 2019?  I'd recommend the latter, it's always worked for me.  Of course, the older style installer also always worked for me, but I'm grasping at possibilities here.  Was that Windows 10 computer connected to the internet during the installation?

 

Can you send in a screenshot of the splash screen you get?  There's a status display near the bottom of the splash screen that will tell you where you are in the launch process.  It might provide a clue to know what it says when it stops updating.

 

If you've got the time and patience, could you try installing a DIAdem evaluation version on a different computer, just to gather extra clues?

Hi Tommy,

 

What about the Symantec or other virus protection idea on the other post?  Also, did this Windows 10 computer have any other NI software on it prior to installing DIAdem?  How old is the computer, counting from the last time it had the operating system re-imaged (not that I'm suggesting that, again, just looking for clues)?

Hi Brad...thanks for the reply.  Strange....it hangs on this screen for about a minute or two then bombs out.  I have uninstalled and tried again.  I might just move to another computer and get it a go.  This is a new computer so not sure what is up.  thanks
