Diadem 2017: chart wizard problem for generating report

Normally, the way I am creating the plots in report is to add required channels to VIEW and then export them to REPORT. Then using "chart wizard" function in REPORT to modify the plot, such as adding/assigning new axes. However DIAdem 2017 has problem as shown in the attached image. 

I tried to click on the chart wizard icon. However, instead of modifying the current report sheet having all my selected channels, it creates a new one containing only one channel. This is annoying because I have to manually add the channels again. 

In the meantime, I have to use DIAdem 2015 again to create REPORT. I hope that this problem will be fixed soon because I can see 2017 version has many better features than 2015 version and I still want to use 2017 version.

Hi levan8421,

I checked this problem with DIAdem 2017, 2015-SP2 and 2014-SP1. In all cases the behavior is the same. If I click on the chart wizard icon a new page with a new chart is created. But if you select your 2D axis system and open the context menu you can choose the chart wizard to modify your chart.

Hi Walter, thanks for your response. Your first explanation is correct. But in REPORT, when I right-click on the plot to open context menu and click on Chart Wizard, the error as I attached happened (I even tried with Example data). I used Diadem 2015 ( I do not know what version) but it did not happen.

That's mysteriouse. I canot reproduce this behavior - not with DIAdem 64 bit nor with the 32 bit version.

Please can you check which exact DIAdem version you use (About box)?

Are DIAdem 2015 and 2017 installed on the same PC?

Yes, both version are installed on my same computer.

I am using 17.0.0f6657 (64 bit); USI: 17.0.0f6654; Data Finder: 17.0.0f6654

I can reproduce the error in DIAdem 2017 (17.0.0f6657 (64-bit)) as well. English version, with Windows 10

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to VIEW, use EXAMPLE.TDV layout - drag and drop Time/Speed from EXAMPLE.TDMS data set to top area

2. Press "Transfer to REPORT" icon

3. Right click on top axis system, choose "Chart wizard ..." from context menu

This error message appears:

Doesn't happen in DIAdem 2015 SP2 (32-bit) on my machine.

I hope that's somewhat helpful to reproduce the error ...
