Hi,
im testing the 2019 version (i dont see BETA by it on download page, so its final one?).
1) Firstly when i load a tdm file to data portal, i used to have a root channelgroup with lot of parameters. Now i see just one channelgroup of the tdm file and i cant acces root parameters. Can you please help me what happened to this?
2) i teached my colleagues to use the pin function when they filter on data channels. the function is gone?
3) When i start 2019 with no internet connection (to not check the licence on our server), the program starts directly. After i start the internet connection and run Diadem again, it wait probably 5min telling me "patents pending" like the older versions) but after the 5 minutes, the program crashes and tell me no message that is going to crash, just dissapear. Does exist some log that i can check to find out why it doesnt start? It used to start but last time it doesnt

The Pin is gone. Currently the idea of bringing it back is "under consideration".

Hi Lukas,
1. Can you show us the example of the difference? I tried both versions (2018, 2019) with the same file, and it differed only in graphical way. I still could have multiple channel groups, with separate parameters.

I have had trouble loading DIAdem 2018 with no internet connection as well. I haven't tested DIAdem 2019 in this manner. My experience in the past has been that if you let DIAdem have access to the internet once, it will let you run it for a period of time, and then give you trouble thereafter unless you reconnect the internet. I think it wants to validate the license. If you can leave the internet connection on, that is the best situation. If you cannot, turn on internet, run DIAdem, and turn off internet, and never shut down DIAdem. 😉

Hi Team,
Just a note about DIAdem 2018 and 2019 installs with out internet connection.
I have installed to 5 different machines, all with no internet connection for 2018 and 2019. All worked out just fine. I am full admin on the machines that I setup DIAdem on, and made sure that I was running the installer as Admin. Also running Windows 7 64 on these machines. Should work the same for Windows 10 pro, but this has not been required yet.
Process:
1) Get the computer ID from the NI license manager.
2) The login from another machine that has internet access.
browse to www.ni.com/activate.
3) Enter the information into the web page, and it should then give you back a activation code, that then can be entered into the unconnected machine in NI License manager.
The 2019 moving to using the package manager adds a big change the process, that would require some changes to the past installer that would have worked for 2018.
Hopefully this will help some.

The discussion above turned only to topic about pinning, but i wrote point 3, the most imporatant, because i cant run Diadem, it fails a closes itself after the loading image, it just never starts with internet connection as i described in point 3:
3) When i start 2019 with no internet connection (to not check the licence on our server), the program starts directly. After i start the internet connection and run Diadem again, it wait probably 5min telling me "patents pending" like the older versions) but after the 5 minutes, the program crashes and tell me no message that is going to crash, just dissapear. Do you have the same behaviour? Or it was solved by some patch?
i looked the downloads section on NI, but there is no Diadem2019 SP version which would be fixed.
I asked for some access log to see why it crashes and doesnt start?

Here is the help article about the log file:
http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370858P-01/dlgshell/dlgshell/dlglogfile_dialog/
Does it say anything relevant?
