Diadem crashes when using Help

I am running WinXP and Diadem 2012.

After I open the Help section of Diadem, if I change the tab to Index or close out of Help, Diadem crashes and states that is had an Unhandled Exception. There are a variety of other things I can do to make it crash and none of them seem to have any rhyme or reason.

Just 15 minutes ago it was working and now it does not.

Any ideas?

When I "get detailed help" after hovering over a piece of script code it will bring up the Help section for that code. Since my computer isn't connected to the internet I get the "This program can not connect to the Internet" page instead of the actual Help document. If I click on a different Help topic sometimes Diadem will crash. Sometimes it doesn't crash.

Could this possibly be a problem running the help program without the internet or something?

There are only very few pages in the help that display information from the internet and they do not display in the help window but open a separate browser window. I guess that you cannot display the help itself. This could happen if you try to open the help on a server (see Security Update for Microsoft Windows XP (KB896358)) or if you download the help from the internet. Try

Run Windows Explorer, right-click on the CHM file, and select Properties from the popup menu. Click on the Unblock button immediately below the Advanced button on the General page. Click Apply to show the content. Once the CHM file has been unblocked, the Unblock button disappears.

Sometimes If you have a virus scanner installed it may take some minutes to display the help index. In this case it may help to exclude the DIAdem program folder from the scanning.

I have never heard that DIAdem crashes when you try to open the help, and if I am sure it is not a missing internet connection.
