Could you please try to reregister the EasyPluginConfigurator.ocx? To do this, open a command line with administrator privileges and run regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Bin\EasyPluginConfigurator.ocx" (Maybe you will have to adjust the program path to your NI shared folder.).
If this does not solve your problem please post a screen shot of the EasyPluginConfigurator.ocx properties (browse to the EasyPluginConfigurator.ocx file - Click right - Select properties - Go to the Details tab - make a screen shot), or post your EasyPluginConfigurator.ocx.
Thanks,
Eva T.

Those who get up early are on the ball. We finally have a winner here. I knew this was the answer as soon as I saw your post. DIAdem is now up and working.
Thanks Eva,
James

Hi James,
I´m glad that your issue is solved. Do you recall anything you did more or less immediately before the ocx stopped working, like installing new software?
Thanks and have a nice day,
Eva

No, I don't remember the exact time when this broke, because DIAdem runs without this dialog box working. I only noticed when I tried to modify a plugin so it could have been broke for several days. The plugins I'm using have been written for some time, so once they're in the system, I'm not adding new ones or modifying the properties very often.
I don't understand why reinstalls didn't fix the problem, but I don't know how the registering of dll's, ocx's etc happen on an install.
Thanks again Eva.
James
